You hold your breath, a shiver thrills the body, the silence of time that tells legends of ancient people and precise calendars.

The most representative, best preserved, evocative and mysteriousnuragic well temple of Sardinia.
It is the maximum architectural expression of a civilization, the Nuragic one, dating back to 3,500 years ago.
A symbol, the one of water, which comes from far away.

We are sure of one thing, this was a special place.

EQUINOX MARCH/SEPTEMBER

In September (from 21st to 23rd at 12.00) and in March (from 18th to 21st at 11.00) on the occasion of the equinoxes
the sun perfectly lights up the bottom of the well,
until it touches the water, passing through the stairwell .

THE GREATER LUNISTICE

Every 18.6 years, during the period of greater lunistice,
the moonlight reaches the mirror of water
reflecting perpendicularly
through the hole

of about 30 cm of the tholos chamber

THERE IS MUCH MORE

Along a well-defined path we find several settlements dating back to different eras, of which the nuragic village is part and where the single-tower nuraghe emerges…. but before arriving at the nuragic village you will come across the Christian village made up of beautiful muristenes (pilgrimage houses for novenas) which frame the large novenary square.

THE OPINIONS OF THOSE WHO ALREADY VISITED THE PLACE

MAGNIFICENT place .. it almost feels like going back in time and to sense the presence of the people who lived in that era. I recommend it to everybody

The sacred well is incredible, but the whole site is very interesting as well as well managed. The flagship is certainly the sacred well: the perfection of the construction technique for those times is unimaginable. A mysterious and truly fascinating place.

Exciting experience. In particular, the well and its history, told with passion and competence by the guide, have left emotions difficult to describe. Congratulations and thanks.

Not to be missed
A unique area for the quality of the conservation status.
Surrounded by a beautiful wood it is possible to visit the well of Santa Cristina and the nuragic area.
Well preserved and of great emotional and spiritual impact.

Worth the visit.
